Cloth roller shades are a traditional approach with fabrics designed to meet privacy or room darkening needs.
Sunscreen, Cloth and Blackout shades are available as clutch controlled rollers or as motorized remote controlled shades.
I have seen a few Bottom Up versions over the years but,
I would be hard pressed to find a workroom producing the old "School House " Bottom Up shades.
Typical roller shades presently are a top mounted roll that is controlled by a Rollease clutch and chain.
Many installations are a stand alone roller
oriented either as a Regular Roll or a Reverse Roll.
Some installations the construction of the home incorporates a pocket or soffit receased into the ceiling.
On the Regular Roll the shade cloth is coming off the back of the roll.
As an outside mounted shade this keeps the fabric tight to the wall
or tight to the window opening reducing any light gaps into the room.
A Reverse Roll has the fabic coming over the top of the roll,
spooling off the front.
This method a finished look, concealing the roller tube behind the fabric.
A Reverse roll is often the best chioce of a stand alone treatment.
Roller shades do not necessarily need to be stand alone shades.
We have several valance treatments available,
Metal Fascia, Deluxe "Groover Valance" and Soft fabric top treatments.
A recent change has discontinued the Soft fabic valance.
In its place a new fabric covered cornice has been introduced.
