There are a host of many window treatment procucts available and I would be happy to dicuss all options.
I have sharpened my focus on the four shade groups;

The first item we want to establish is what type of shade fits best for your situation.
It may not be a single type of shade but, a combination of shade types.
The front of your house might want a certain coverage, the side facing windows another and bedroom something entirely different.
Transition between rooms can be a consideration.
I was recently asked if the side window in a linving room could be an entirley different shade than the others.
This side window having exposer to a neighboring house, where the other windows are looking out to the water view.
Great discussion ensued between myself, our interior designer and the client.
We resolved this conundrum by addressing where the room divided or transitioned into other parts of the house.
Walls and flooring materials can be followed to form logical shifts in design.
As it turned out we did not use a different shade type.
We kept all the living room windows as Honeycomb shades and transtioned into Wood blinds in adjacent areas.
What is the needed function of your area?
A Honeycomb shade can be raised up, dropped down or left partialy open.
In this instance it could be said the shade fabric obscures the view, with no in-between.
A slatted Wood blind does a completely different funtion.
The slats turn so a partial privacy can be achived in a differing manner.
Slats tilted slightly up or down can obscure the view in for privacy.
The objective of the treatment calls upon the degree of the needs of the surroundings.
The architect Louis Sullivan coined the maxim,
" Form Follows Function ".
In ours terms,
Our privacy control dictates the type function needs our shades might have.
Roller shades are another window treatment that has had a long history.
Back in the day roller shades filled the need for privacy,
now the product has evolved into much more.
A more contemporary treatment of modern styling,
a very simple and clean look.
Limited in function as a product that drops down from the top of the window.
